Welcome, Ramadan!
The holy month of Ramadan is coming! Time really flies so fast, in the past we used to be busy collecting information about Ramadan, but now it’s the time to face it! Do you feel anxious? Can you succeed with your fasting? No problem at all, even if you forget to make a to-do list because unexpectedly, the first Ramadan is coming so fast. There’s still time until the end of the amazing Ramadan to end. I hope you can prepare quickly without procrastinating What should you do during Ramadan?
1. Make your main target for the ibadah
make sure it will increase your main yaumiyah ibadah, like fard salah praying 5 times, fasting (including suhoor and iftar), reading the Quran, and don’t forget with tarawih! Start to upgrade your ibadah’s quality by doing fard salah on time, fasting without doing any bad things, doing suhoor and iftar at the prime time
2. Finish or khatam your Quran reading
Read the Quran every time, and read the translations as well. If it’s possible make a target for reading Quran for a whole month. Divide the times for 30 days. To make it easier, you could also divide it into 5 during 5 times a day. So let’s say, reading 5 lines of the Quran after salah will be easier to do instead of 2.5 pages at one time, right?
3. Make a sadaqah program.
Sadaqah is one of the good deeds with tons of benefits. Wait, a program? isn’t that a bit too much? If you understand the importance and benefits of sadaqah, you surely want to be a very rich person so you can do sadaqah every single time! If you haven’t the importance and the urgency of sadaqah. Let me tell you several benefits of sadaqah:
Sadaqah can erase our sins, just like water extinguishes fire (HR. Tirmidhi).
Sadaqah can give you a shed in the yaumil akhirah. By Allah’s permission, sadaqah can further you away from dangerous things or situations. Multiplied reward from sadaqah, more importantly during Ramadan. Sadaqah can free yourself from the torment of the grave and many many more! Moreover, hasad of the sadaqah that being done by other people is permissible like being said in Hadith Bukhari Muslim. Do it during Ramadan? Isn’t like a double combo reward, if we could count it of course!
4. Come into majlis of ilm.
Majlis ilm is like a place to recharge our iman, increase our iman, motivation to do more good deeds and establish the friendships with our Muslim brothers and sisters Take this Ramadan moment to upgrade your knowledge about Islam, Not only read more books about Islam, but you could also start from the topic you need or maybe you prefer, like history, perhaps?
5. Stay healthy and fit
Do light exercise after fajr prayer, when your energy still fully charged or near the iftar moment, so you don’t need to wait longer before iftar. Avoid doing any unnecessary thing, like watching too many films or movies till late at night, attending a music concert, or traveling far away if it’s not needed. Taking qailullah or an afternoon nap for a moment also helps to stay fit and fresh
6. Eat and drink enough, not too much.
Make sure you don’t leave Sahoor and Iftar. It’s sunnah with rewards. Sahoor and iftar also will affect physical fitness. Do not forget to eat dates at sahoor and iftar. Instead of junk food, choose nutritious food like fruit, veggies, eggs, or other protein food
Have you done taking notes? Or have you done writing your version for Ramadan? Don’t forget to do it, because Ramadan will not last long
