Good morning!
I write this at 5 AM along with a still-dark sky and a quiet and silent morning. Maybe a lot of people do their activities behind closed doors. But for me, it’s the best time to finish important tasks
Do you prefer to start your activities in the morning like me? Or do you prefer to do it at night? If you’re the latter type, you may miss the miracle moment in the early morning.
In the past, I personally did not really believe that those morning moments held the important key throughout my day. Instead of waking up in the morning and starting to do activities as early as possible, I prefer to do the important work at night until dawn. For me, it’s all about totality! Stay up late is cool! But it’s all wrong! It makes me do the job in a hurry and worse thing, I feel so drained and become unproductive throughout the day
So what should I do to change? Early wake-up is the answer!
Narrated Abu Barza:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) disliked to sleep before the `Isha’ prayer and to talk after it. (HR. Bukhari no. 568)
We as ummah recommended doing a qiyamul lail prayer on the last third night. This means this last third night is the “Golden Momen” that we have to chase. But for sure, changing habit is not an easy task, right?
A few months before Ramadan, I realize that waking up in the early morning makes a lot of things much easier. For sure, changing the habit from wake up when fajr was almost gone and sleeping again after salah, is not easy.
Alhamdulillah, in the building the early wake-up habit, Ramadan is coming. When Ramadan is coming, I surely have to wake up much earlier to prepare suhoor and qiyamul lail. And it turned out I can do it! This time is the third month I could wake up early every day. So what I’ve done to change my long yearly habit? Maybe you can try these steps :
1. Find motivation to make you want to wake up early
Reward and punishment are effective yet classic methods to make me do something new. I noticed that I don’t have good time management. A lot of things that should be done in the evening but I feel that I do not have enough time to do everything. How to solve it? Do it as early as possible
2. Add spiritual motivation
The morning, especially on the last third night, is the golden moment for Muslims. During this moment, Allah will grant your dua. Everyone for sure has a lot of things you’d like to ask Allah, right? This last third night is the perfect time to wake up, do dhikr, and start telling all of your list of wishes and dua

3. Know your pattern habit
Take a break and start thinking about what activities you’d like to do from waking up to sleep at night. Write it down and find which one you could change and which one you couldn’t. Avoid watching videos or movies before sleep, and if needed end any gadgets and screen activities an hour before sleep
4. Do not press sneeze when your alarm rings
If you really want to succeed with early wake-up. Do not touch the sneeze button! Well, it’s understandable that you want to close your eyes even for another 5 minutes but if it’s happened you will miss your supposed wake-up time. So, make sure you don’t touch it unless it’s emergency
5. Read dua after wake-up and take wudhu
Washing your face is really helpful to make you stay awake. You could also do qiyamul lail if there’s enough time. Do a spiritual morning routine help you to manage your emotions throughout the day
6. Do important tasks early in the morning
I think I don’t need to tell you why. Everything related to concentration and a clear mind, do in the early morning.
I’ve tried to wake up early in the morning these past few months and I feel so much better emotionally. If you want the same thing to happen to you, you could try those simple steps. Hope you got your miracle moment every morning starting from tomorrow!
